Lending periods may vary, depending on the library that loans the item.

If the book you need is at Northeastern but is missing or checked out, please use WorldCat to request it. Contact the Circulation Desk (617) 373-8778 if you need additional assistance.

If the book you need is an e-book that is available at Northeastern, we will direct you to that resource. We do not process requests physical copies of e-books that are already in our collection.

If the book you need is a textbook that is required for a class, which we verify with the campus bookstore beforehand, please consider asking your instructor to place a copy on reserve. We do not process requests for textbooks.

Lost/Overdue Items

Please return all interlibrary loan materials by the due date listed on the book band. Our ability to request and borrow materials in the future depends on maintaining good relationships with our network of lending libraries, which means returning their materials on time and in good condition. If you need an item for longer, please request a renewal through your ILLiad account or by contacting the Interlibrary Loan office.

You are responsible for all replacement charges and fees for unreturned, lost, or damaged materials that you borrow through interlibrary loan. Amounts and fees may vary, depending on the policies of the lending library, and lending libraries may not accept replacement copies that you purchase yourself. Please contact the Interlibrary Loan office if you have any questions.
