Group Study and Collaboration Rooms

Fall 2019: New booking system!

All bookable rooms, spaces, and workstations in Snell Library have moved to the LibCal platform.
 
  • TIP: If you are both a student and a staff member, use your faculty/staff login for LibCal. You will still have access to student spaces.
  • TIP: If you are a student at the NU School of Law, you may reserve group and individual study spaces in the Law Library. See the Law Library website for more information.

Reserve a Group Study/Collaboration Room

Snell Library's group study rooms, available on Floors 1, 2, 3, and 4, are available to current Northeastern students for group work. All group study rooms have whiteboards; those on levels one and two have monitors. New in Fall 2019, the first-floor CoLab room monitors are equipped with wireless connection capability. Adapters to connect laptops to the monitors in rooms on the second floor may be borrowed at the first-floor Help & Information Desk.

Guidelines:

  • Group study rooms are available by reservation for the use of groups only.
  • They may be reserved by currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students for up to three hours at a time.
  • A student may make no more than one reservation per day, two reservations per week, up to 4 reservations in a two-week period. 
  • Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance.
  • Rooms may be reserved only during the library’s regular service hours, and are available as first-come, first-served during overnight study.
  • Please arrive on time. Reservations are considered void if your group has not arrived 15 minutes after the start of your reservation.

Reserve the Video Conferencing Room (CoLab D)

  • CoLab D is available to current Northeastern University faculty, staff, and students for up to 3 hours at a time.
  • A person may have no more than 3 reservations per week.
  • Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance.
  • After requesting, you will be contacted to confirm your booking and review any setup and/or training needs.

Reserve the Phone/Video Interview Room (CoLab E)

CoLab E, on the first floor, is available to individual students for phone and video job interviews, for up to two 90-minute bookings at a time.  

Please note: This room does not have any interviewing technology. Students must bring their own phone and/or laptop.

  • This room may be reserved by currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students for up to three hours at a time (two 90-minute reservations).
  • A student may make no more than two reservations per week and up to 4 reservations in a two-week period.
  • Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance.
  • Rooms may be reserved only during the library’s regular service hours, and are available as first-come, first-served during overnight study.
  • Please arrive on time. Reservations are considered void if you have not arrived 15 minutes after the start of your reservation.
